Our Story

Built by a family, for families.

Momentage started because we went looking for this service and it didn't exist — not done well. So we built it ourselves.

The Origin

We needed it before we built it.

When we lost a family member, we wanted to do something with the photos. Something that felt like it honoured the person properly — not a slideshow someone made in twenty minutes on an app, but something someone had actually thought about and cared about.

We couldn't find that service. Not in Canada, not at a price that felt fair, not from someone who seemed to understand what the moment required.

So Hemish and Jarna started Momentage. We've been doing this work ever since — for families who need it in the hardest moments, and for families celebrating the best ones.

How We Work

Three things we won't compromise on.

Human hands on every film

Nothing leaves Momentage without a person reviewing it. No AI-generated sequences, no automated exports. Every decision in a film was made by someone who thought about it.

Care equal to the occasion

A memorial film is handled differently than a birthday film — not because the work is harder, but because the context demands a different kind of attention. We match our care to what the moment requires.

Transparency, not upselling

Our pricing is public. Our process is documented. We don't add fees after you've started. If a project is going to cost more than expected, we tell you before we do anything.

The Team

The people behind the films.

Every project that goes out from Momentage is reviewed by one of us before delivery. We're a small studio by design — not because we can't scale, but because the quality of the work depends on it.

Canadian-Made

Made in Canada. For Canadian families.

Momentage is a proudly Canadian studio. We understand the landscape of family services in this country — the funeral homes, the communities, the cultures that make up the families we serve.

We work with families across Canada in both English and other languages as needed. If your family has specific cultural or religious considerations that should shape the film, tell us — we'll make it right.
